IMPORTANT INFORMATION

With girl’s camp just a few weeks away, here are some items you need to know:

1. PERMISSION FORMS – Permission forms should be in! Please KEEP THE PHYSICAL COPY!!! The physical copy should be in the car with the girl on the way to camp. Once at camp I need you to hand me all the forms for your ward (girls and leaders). The nurse is required to have the physical copy of the permission form with her in the nurse’s station.
2. MONEY – Money is due by May 19. If you collect money from the girls it should be on a tithing slip under OTHER with Girls Camp and the girls name written in. Once your money is collected, please have your ward clerk transfer the correct amount (found on the spreadsheet) to the Stake Young Women’s Girls Camp account. Reminder that the leaders are $50 and girls are $75.
3. SATCHEL – YCL’s have requested that each girl at camp have a satchel that she can use to carry items around camp with. They will want to have with them a water bottle, ward sticker, journal, pen or pencil, and any other personal items needed. Each ward is responsible for their own satchels. This is up to you on how to implement. You can have each girl bring their own. You can purchase as a ward and do an activity to decorate. You can make your own. Many ideas. Have fun with it.
4. WARD STICKER – YCL’s would like to have a sticker trading at camp! Each ward will have a sticker that represents their ward. For example my ward is Sunset Ridge so we may pick a sticker with a sun on it. This sticker can then be traded with other girls. They can all end up with one from each ward and find and meet new friends along the way. You can also decide as a ward if you would like a friendly task to be accomplished before recieving the sticker. Something easy and something kind. For example, give me a high five or tell me something about yourself or give someone a compliment.
5. YCL MEETING – Our next YCL meeting will probably be our last so please please spread the word to your YCL’s that we need their help!! This meeting will be putting together our welcome packets for the wards. SUNDAY JUNE 2 6PM @ STAKE CENTER The more hands the better. Our YCL’s have done an incredible job this year at planning and putting camp together. Almost there!
6. ARRIVAL TIMES – Due to the single road that goes into camp, we can’t all show up at the same time! So please refer to the below Schedule for your arrival time on Monday Morning:

I am so grateful for all of you and your hard work. I know you put as much time and effort into camp as I do. Camp always turns out to be what it needs to be. Trust in the Lord.
